Overview

M&E Supervisor

Working Days: 5 days a week (Monday - Friday), 8.30am to 5.30pm. Saturday may require a half day depending on the project (OT may be claimed).

Location: Office at City Hall; site at Jurong West (nearest MRT Lakeside).

Salary: $3300 to $4500.

Qualifications: ITE or Polytechnic/Diploma in Civil Engineering; minimum 3 years of relevant experience in M&E supervision (preferably in data centre, industrial or commercial projects); strong technical knowledge of M&E systems, codes and construction practices; hands-on experience in site supervision, coordination and inspection processes.

Responsibilities

• Attend daily subcontractor meetings to discuss M&E issues and help meet the project target schedule.
• Check site progress and safety compliance of subcontractors; report findings to the supervisor and safety officer.
• Ensure subcontractors\' works are in accordance with approved drawings/details; take remedial actions for non-conformance.
• Possess knowledge to conduct daily activity inspections with the project RE or RTO and address comments to ensure works are approved for commencement.
• Keep proper records of inspection forms for future reference and for evidence in case of unforeseen defects or legal issues.
• Interact professionally with workers, subcontractors, and peers; seek guidance from senior site staff when needed; understand contractors\' obligations and maintain mutual respect at all levels.
• Strive for fast and efficient approvals for assignments; apply BCA good practices on site.
• Support the Environmental Health Safety program set by the PM and WSHO to contribute to a safe and clean site.
• Pursue ongoing learning through construction courses by BCA or equivalent, and study cost-saving methods feasible for site usage.
• Be willing to take on additional work as part of the project team\'s activities to aid in cost savings.
• Provide guidance to new M&E supervisors to ensure seamless integration into the team without impacting site progress.
