Job summary

MEIDEN SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Mechanical Technician to support the Project Manager and construction team during the installation and relocation of machinery at the new facility.

The role focuses on on-site coordination, supervision of installation works, and ensuring safe, correct installation of equipment. The candidate will coordinate with machinery movers, contractors, vendors and internal departments, oversee dismantling and installation, verify foundations and routes, monitor

Qualifications

• NITEC/Higher NITEC or diploma in mechanical/mechatronics or related field.
• At least 3 years' experience in factory relocation, machinery installation or equipment commissioning.
• Able to read equipment layouts, engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in factory equipment relocation and installation activities.
• Coordinate with machinery movers, contractors, vendors and internal departments.
• Oversee equipment dismantling, shifting, delivery, positioning and installation.
• Check foundations, access routes and installation areas are ready.
• Monitor alignment, levelling, anchoring and mechanical connections.
• Coordinate disconnection and reconnection of equipment utilities.
• Assist with lifting, rigging and machinery-moving activities.
• Monitor progress and report delays or issues to the Project Manager.
• Support equipment testing, trial runs and recommissioning.
• Identify installation defects and follow up on corrective actions.
• Maintain installation records, checklists and progress updates.
• Ensure all works comply with site safety requirements and permit-to-work procedures.
