Job summary

COENS ENERGY PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced M&E Engineer to support major LTA and infrastructure projects in Singapore.

You will oversee planning, coordination, installation, testing and commissioning of Mechanical & Electrical systems, ensuring compliance with project specs, safety requirements, LTA standards and local regulations. You will work with consultants, LTA representatives, subcontractors, vendors and authorities throughout design, installation, testing and commissioning, reviewing

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant M&E experience, preferably on large infrastructure projects in Singapore.
• Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) certificate highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise M&E works per drawings, specs and schedules.
• Collaborate with consultants, LTA reps, subcontractors, vendors, and authorities across design, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Review shop drawings, method statements, material submissions and related M&E docs.
• Monitor site progress and ensure quality, safety and LTA standards are met.
• Coordinate electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, ventilation with civil/structural works.
• Conduct site inspections and provide practical solutions to prevent delays.
• Supervise M&E testing and commissioning and hand over on schedule.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore Standards, regs, codes and authority requirements.
• Prepare progress reports, inspection records, as-built drawings and testing docs.
• Participate in project meetings and technical discussions.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced M&E Engineer to support major LTA and infrastructure projects in Singapore.

The successful candidate will oversee the planning, coordination, installation, testing, and commissioning of Mechanical & Electrical systems while ensuring full compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, LTA standards, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise M&E works in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, and construction schedules.
• Work closely with consultants, LTA representatives, subcontractors, vendors, and relevant authorities throughout design, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Review shop drawings, method statements, material submissions, technical proposals, and related M&E documentation.
• Monitor site progress and ensure all works meet required quality, safety, and LTA standards.
• Coordinate electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, ventilation, and other building services with civil and structural works.
• Conduct site inspections, identify technical issues, and provide practical solutions to prevent project delays.
• Supervise M&E testing and commissioning activities and ensure systems are completed and handed over according to schedule.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore Standards, statutory regulations, codes of practice, and authority requirements.
• Prepare progress reports, inspection records, as-built drawings, testing documentation, and handover packages.
• Participate in project meetings, coordination sessions, and technical discussions with key stakeholders.

LEW Responsibilities

• Carry out responsibilities as a Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) in accordance with Energy Market Authority (EMA) requirements.
• Oversee electrical installations, testing, energisation, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure electrical works comply with applicable safety requirements, codes of practice, and regulatory standards.
• Liaise with authorities, utilities, and service providers regarding electrical submissions, inspections, approvals, and energisation.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant M&E experience, preferably within LTA, MRT, rail, transportation, or major infrastructure projects in Singapore.
• A valid Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) certificate is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of LTA specifications, Singapore Standards, statutory requirements, and local codes of practice.
• Proven experience in M&E testing and commissioning.
• Strong technical coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Candidates with previous LTA project experience and LEW certification will have a strong advantage.
