Job summary

RANKINE & HILL (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. seeks a Junior Mechanical & Electrical Engineer to plan, design and oversee building services projects in Singapore. The role covers tender preparation, drawing reviews, and progress meetings with clients and consultants.

Requirements include a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and at least 1 year of relevant experience. M&E consulting exposure and PE board registration are advantageous; strong teamwork and independence are valued.

Qualifications

• A recognised engineering degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant industry experience.
• Experience in an M&E consulting firm is advantageous.
• Knowledge of design/building projects and codes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or BIM software is an added advantage.
• Team-oriented, proactive and able to work independently.
• Experience delivering residential, commercial, industrial, institutional and recreational projects.
• Registration with Professional Engineers Board, Singapore is advantageous.
• Candidates without relevant experience but with good interpersonal skills will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and administer mechanical and electrical engineering works for building services.
• Prepare tender specifications and review tender drawings.
• Perform tender evaluations and prepare tender evaluation reports.
• Attend technical and progress meetings with client, architects, consultants and contractors.
• Manage the projects and identify any non-conformity of contractor’s work at site.
• Other adhoc duties as assigned.
