Job summary

SBM ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a competent Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Engineer to manage, coordinate, and supervise M&E systems and site activities in Singapore. You will ensure works align with design, specifications, safety standards and project timelines.

The role involves design review, drawing interpretation, installation supervision, and coordination with consultants and subcontractors to maintain quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of M&E systems (HVAC, electrical, fire protection, plumbing, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Familiarity with local regulations and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, review, and coordinate M&E systems and layouts.
• Interpret and verify technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of M&E services.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and regulations.
• Monitor project progress, quality, and technical performance.
• Identify and resolve technical and site issues.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and as-built drawings.
• Support cost control, variation orders, and material approvals.
• Ensure workplace safety and adherence to WSH requirements.
