Job summary

SUNRISE BUILDING SERVICES PTE LTD is seeking an M&E Design Engineer to design, coordinate, document and implement mechanical and electrical building services for diverse projects in Singapore.

You will work with clients, consultants and contractors to ensure M&E systems are properly designed and delivered in accordance with Singapore standards and regulations, review drawings and calculations, and provide technical support on site and in meetings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) designs, layouts, schematics, and engineering drawings for building services. Carry out engineering calculations, equipment sizing, load calculations, and system design for M&E services.
• Design, prepare drawings and coordinate systems including electrical power distribution and lighting systems, ACMV/HVAC systems/Chilled water systems, plumbing and sanitary systems, and fire protection systems
• Coordinate M&E services with architectural, structural, and other building services to minimize clashes and ensure constructability
• Review and verify shop drawings, technical submissions, material submissions, and equipment specifications
• Prepare design calculations, specifications, drawings, and other technical documentation
• Ensure designs comply with relevant Singapore Standards, Codes of Practice, SCDF, BCA, EMA, PUB, and other applicable statutory requirements
• Attend Client/Consultants meetings, coordination meetings, and technical discussions when required
• Provide technical support and resolve design, coordination, and site installation issues
• Liaise with consultants, clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and authorities on technical matters
• Assist in authority submissions and respond to technical comments where required
• Review site conditions and existing M&E installations before finalizing designs

About the role
