Job summary

Alstern Technologies Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an M&E Coordinator with at least 2 years of experience in building construction projects. You will review drawings, coordinate with main contractors and consultants, and lead M&E coordination meetings to resolve site issues.

The role requires familiarity with BIM concepts, ability to interpret technical drawings, and strong communication across multiple stakeholders to ensure project schedules and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline required.
• Minimum 2 years of M&E services experience in building construction projects, preferably with an M&E subcontractor.
• Familiarity with BIM software, design coordination, and clash detection processes.
• Ability to coordinate with main contractor, consultants, suppliers and site teams to resolve technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Review contract requirements, M&E specifications, and drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements, quality standards and schedules.
• Liaise with main contractor, design consultants and stakeholders to clarify design intent and resolve technical issues.
• Coordinate with main contractor's architectural and structural teams to resolve design discrepancies and site clashes.
• Prepare and submit material samples, technical submissions and shop drawings for approval.
• Attend and lead M&E coordination meetings with the main contractor, consultants and other trades to resolve site coordination issues.
• Prepare M&E coordination and installation drawings, ensuring timely submission and approval.
• Coordinate with site supervisors and installation teams to ensure M&E works follow approved drawings and schedules.
• Prepare, assess, and submit progress claims, variation claims, and supporting documents to the main contractor.
• Coordinate with site personnel on installation, operation, and maintenance of temporary site utility services.
• Monitor site progress, workmanship, and material usage to ensure quality and minimise rework.
• Identify site issues, propose practical solutions, and coordinate rectification works to ensure timely project completion.
