Job summary

CHL CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a skilled M&E Coordinator to ensure mechanical and electrical systems are integrated and functioning on our construction projects.

You will coordinate installation, testing and commissioning, liaise with contractors and project managers, and review drawings and specifications to preempt issues while ensuring compliance with local codes and safety standards; contribute to timely project delivery and maintain thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as an M&E Coordinator or similar in the local construction industry.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and technical documents.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate installation, testing, and commissioning of M&E systems on construction sites.
• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure works follow plans and specs.
• Review and interpret drawings, specifications and technical documents to identify issues and propose solutions.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with building codes, regulations and safety standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all M&E activities.
• Collaborate with the design team to resolve design-related issues during construction.
