Job summary

The Public Service Division is seeking a professional to support management, maintenance planning, and rectification of Mechanical & Electrical systems in pedestrian underpasses, pedestrian overhead bridges and vehicle underpasses. You will assist in coordinating works, safety compliance, and quality controls on site.

You will prepare tender specifications, manage M&E equipment projects, and liaise with contractors and government agencies to ensure adherence to codes and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in mechanical engineering and relevant field experience.
• Experience with M&E equipment such as lifts, escalators, pumps, and ACMV.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tender specifications and manage projects on M&E infrastructure.
• Supervise on-site works, enforce safety standards, and conduct quality audits.
• Investigate lifts/escalators incidents and manage feedback from the public and agencies.

[What the role is]

You will assist in management, maintenance planning and rectification of commuter facilities Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) equipment in pedestrian underpasses, pedestrian overhead bridges and vehicle underpasses.

[What you will be working on]

You will also assist in preparation of tender specifications, managing and supervising commuter facilities M&E equipment enforcing safety requirements base on code and requirement – site activities, as well as carrying out quality/quality audit checks on works on site. Investigation of any lifts and escalators accidents. This will also include the management of feedback from the public, other government agencies and private developers.

[What we are looking for]

• Knowledge in Mechanical engineering
• Knowledge and experience in M&E equipment such as lifts, escalators, pumps, ACMV, fire protection system.
• Relevant experience in handing customer feedback will be an added advantage
• Good writing, communication and interpersonal skill
