Job summary

sggovterp is seeking an Executive Engineer/Engineer in Electrical Services (Road & Special Projects) to design high voltage and low voltage reticulation schemes and support railway/road infrastructure projects. You will lead design activities, establish standards, and participate in tenders, while supervising sites and commissioning tests.

The role requires knowledge of electrical engineering, 3+ years in HV/LV design, and railway traction experience, with strong communication and leadership

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in designing and supervising high voltage and low voltage reticulation schemes.
• Knowledge of a railway environment and traction system design experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• As part of shortlisting, medical declaration or further assessment may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for projects and studies undertaken by the Division.
• Design high voltage power systems, railway traction power systems, and LV reticulation schemes.
• Establish engineering standards, prepare tenders, and review technologies for road/rail infrastructure.
• Handle site supervision, testing and commissioning, and review relevant technologies.
• Collaborate with teams across road and rail projects and buildings.

[What the role is]

EXECUTIVE ENGINEER/ENGINEER, ELECTRICAL SERVICES (ROAD & SPECIAL PROJECTS)

[What you will be working on]

You will provide engineering support for projects as well as engineering studies supported and undertaken by the Division. You will be involved in designing high voltage power systems, railway traction power systems and low voltage reticulation schemes; establishing engineering standards; preparing and participating in tenders; handling site supervision, testing and commissioning as well as reviewing technologies for both road and rail infrastructure/ applications and buildings.

[What we are looking for]

• Knowledge in Electrical Engineering
• At least 3 years of experience in designing and supervising high voltage and low voltage reticulation schemes
• Knowledge of a railway environment and relevant experience in designing traction systems
• Good leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
• Those with more relevant years of experience will be considered for senior positions
