Job summary

Land Transport Authority (LTA) Singapore is seeking a Deputy Manager, Audit & Compliance to join a dedicated team ensuring Singapore’s public bus fleet remains safe, comfortable, and sustainable for all commuters.

You will support audits, investigations, and reviews of maintenance plans, while contributing to the electrification effort and future bus procurement. The role requires strong engineering knowledge and stakeholder engagement to drive continuous public transport improvement.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent).
• Up to 3 years of relevant experience in automotive technology operations or related fields, including project management and customer/stakeholder engagement.
• Good communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Familiarity with bus technologies, especially electric or cleaner energy vehicles, as well as fleet operations, is an advantage.
• Strong passion for public transport improvement, sustainability, and enhancing commuter experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Compliance: Assist in planning and conducting regular maintenance audits to ensure PTOs comply with work instructions, OEM regimes, regulatory requirements, standards, and contractual obligations.
• Support investigations into bus-related incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and implementing safety and preventive measures.
• Review and evaluate PTOs’ maintenance plans to ensure adherence to asset management best practices and fleet maintenance needs.
• Support the Electrification of the Singapore Bus Fleet: Provide inputs on specifications for new bus procurement and conduct overseas inspection checks for the first article.

[What you will be working on]

As Deputy Manager, Audit & Compliance, you will be part of a dedicated team working to ensure that Singapore’s public bus fleet consistently delivers safe, comfortable, and sustainable journeys for all bus commuters.

Your will contribute to enhancing bus service reliability, commuter experience, and fleet innovation by conducting audits and maintenance planning. Your work will directly support the goal of making Singapore’s bus network a trusted, inclusive, and sustainable public transport that commuters feel proud to use.

What You Will Be Working On

Your will support a multidisciplinary team of engineers to deliver the following key responsibilities:

• Maintenance Compliance Assist in planning and conducting regular maintenance audits to ensure the Public Transport Operators (PTOs) comply with Work Instructions, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM)‑recommended regimes, regulatory requirements, industry standards, and contractual obligations.
