Job summary

sggovterp in Singapore is seeking an LTA-P&P Transport Planner to support bus strategy, infrastructure and priority projects.

You will analyse demand, plan routes, stops, BRT and express services, engage stakeholders, and develop narratives for public engagement.

Fresh graduates are welcome; GIS and transport modeling experience is advantageous, along with strong written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in any disciplines, preferably in Communications, Urban Planning, Transport/ Geography, Public Policy or Civil Engineering.
• Knowledge/Experience in data analytics, media/communication skills, land use planning, GIS, transport planning and transport modeling simulation techniques will be an advantage.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• As part of the shortlisting process for the role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and / or undergo further assessment

What the role is

[LTA-P&P] TRANSPORT PLANNER (BUS STRATEGY, INFRASTRUCTURE AND PRIORITY)

What you will be working on

You will be involved in the feasibility studies and planning of new bus transit initiatives, including express bus services and Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) systems, to improve public transport connectivity in Singapore.

You will conduct demand analysis and assess travel patterns to identify public transport needs and opportunities. This includes working with government agencies, industry stakeholders and major employers to understand commuting requirements and develop sustainable transit solutions. You will be responsible for planning routes, stopping locations and supporting infrastructure, while assessing impacts on the wider bus network and recommending service adjustments where necessary.

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills. You will develop communication narratives, support public engagement activities, gather and analyse feedback, and work with stakeholders to build understanding and support for transport initiatives.

What we are looking for
