Job summary

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) Singapore is looking for a Transport Planner to contribute to bus strategy, infrastructure and priority initiatives. You will study feasibility, plan services, and work with government agencies, industry partners and employers to improve connectivity across Singapore.

You will analyse demand, design routes and interfaces, and support public engagement activities to gather feedback and build understanding for new transit solutions.

• Knowledge in data analytics, GIS, transport planning and modelling provides an advantage.

[LTA-P&P] TRANSPORT PLANNER (BUS STRATEGY, INFRASTRUCTURE AND PRIORITY)

[What you will be working on]

You will be involved in the feasibility studies and planning of new bus transit initiatives, including express bus services and Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) systems, to improve public transport connectivity in Singapore.

You will conduct demand analysis and assess travel patterns to identify public transport needs and opportunities. This includes working with government agencies, industry stakeholders and major employers to understand commuting requirements and develop sustainable transit solutions. You will be responsible for planning routes, stopping locations and supporting infrastructure, while assessing impacts on the wider bus network and recommending service adjustments where necessary.

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills. You will develop communication narratives, support public engagement activities, gather and analyse feedback, and work with stakeholders to build understanding and support for transport initiatives.

[What we are looking for]

• Knowledge in any disciplines, preferably in Communications, Urban Planning, Transport/ Geography, Public Policy or Civil Engineering. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Knowledge/Experience in data analytics, media/communication skills, land use planning, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), transport planning and transport modeling simulation techniques will be an advantage.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
