The Land Transport Authority (LTA) Singapore seeks a Senior/Assistant Engineer in Development & Building Control (Rail) to regulate railway protection zones and road structure safety zones. You will review designs for temporary and permanent works, perform risk assessments, evaluate construction methods and instrumentation, and support site inspections to ensure compliance with approved method statements and technical requirements.
Collaboration with developers and contractors is essential.
SENIOR/ ASSISTANT ENGINEER, DEVELOPMENT & BUILDING CONTROL (RAIL)
You will be part of a team responsible for regulating development and building works within railway protection zones, railway corridors, and road structure safety zones to safeguard rapid transit systems, road structures, and public streets.
Your role will involve reviewing the design of both temporary and permanent works that affect rapid transit systems, road structures, and public streets. You will conduct engineering risk assessments and analyses, evaluate construction methodologies and instrumentation proposals, and review geotechnical and structural instrumentation data. In addition, you will support the execution of site inspections to verify that construction and engineering works are carried out in accordance with approved method statements and technical requirements.
This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with developers, their architectural and engineering consultants, and contractors. You will also coordinate and liaise with LTA architects, planners, and engineers on projects affecting rail and road systems.
