Job summary

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) in Singapore is seeking a Senior / Executive / Engineer (Test Automation Engineer) to own end-to-end testing of an integrated e-payment system and drive automation within CI/CD.

You will design test cases, prepare environments, develop automation solutions, and collaborate with stakeholders to continually improve testing efficiency and quality across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of testing and test automation experience.
• Experience with UI-based or embedded devices and/or back-office systems.
• Familiarity with the full SDLC from requirements to deployment.
• Certification in software testing preferred.
• Experience with micro-payments/AFC systems is advantageous.

What the role is:

Senior / Executive / Engineer (Test Automation Engineer)

What you will be working on:

We are seeking an energetic and committed Test Automation Engineer to be responsible for the end-to-end testing activities of an integrated e-payment system.

As part of the System Architecture and Assurance Division, you will drive and carry out activities in the testing lifecycle which include test planning, test case design, test execution and developing solutions to automate testing.

What You Will Do

• Analyse business and system requirements for testability and define test cases to ensure good test coverage
• Prepare the test environment and execute test cases
• Develop test automation solution to support the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) process and to continually enhance test efficiency
• Log and track defects to closure
• Conduct test reviews with internal and external stakeholders
• Perform root cause analysis for production and user acceptance defects and address test gaps to ensure test efficiency.

What we are looking for:

• Knowledge in Engineering or Information Technology
• At least 3 years' relevant experience in executing testing and developing test automation solutions involving devices (UI-based or embedded) and/or back-office systems with familiarity on the full system development lifecycle from requirement, development, to testing and deployment
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work well both independently as well as in a team
• Certification in software testing preferred
• Experience in Micro-payments/Automatic Fare Collection systems using Smart Cards and in diverse test execution phases (System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Performance testing) would be an advantage.
