Smart Ims in Singapore is seeking a skilled Java developer to build and enhance electronic trading systems, focusing on low-latency FX applications. You will collaborate with global technology teams and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements to deployment.

The role requires deep Java expertise, Spring, and experience with messaging middleware, plus Agile practices.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Java development with Spring Framework.
• Proven experience in designing and developing distributed electronic trading systems, preferably in FX.
• In-depth understanding of FX electronic trading, including market microstructure, order flow and lifecycle, matching rules, and ECN interactions.
• Strong expertise in multithreading, concurrency, and performance optimization.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Experience with messaging middleware (e.g., JMS, Kafka, or similar technologies).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or XP, and continuous integration practices.
• Scripting experience in Shell, Python, Perl, Ruby.
• Experience working on front-office trading systems.
