Job summary

YONG STEEL (S) PTE. LTD. in Singapore is hiring a Lorry Driver to support scrap metal operations. The role covers multiple sites (Tampines, Tuas, Penjuru, Woodlands) with a 5.5-day week and regular overtime.

The successful candidate holds a Class 4 license with 3+ years of driving experience, ideally with forklift exposure, and can work well in a team while maintaining safety and compliance with LTA rules.

Qualifications

• Valid Singapore Class 4 driving licence with at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Forklift operator license is preferred.
• Experience in scrap metal recycling is an advantage.
• Solid communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate rotator forklift to transfer metal scrap into Multilift containers.
• Daily exchange of Multilift containers from customers to yard at Tuas.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance including washing.
• Ensure compliance with LTA regulations and safety standards.
• Coordinate with lorry drivers and logistics team to plan trips.

• Position Title:Lorry Driver
• Working Locations: Tampines, Tuas, Penjuru, Woodlands
• Working Hours: 5.5 days (Mon-Fri 8.30am-5.30pm; Sat 8.30am-12.30pm) (Saturday - dependent on orders)
• Salary Package:Basic + OT + Yearly Bonus
• Duration: Permanent / Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Possess valid Singapore class 4 license with at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Operate rotator forklift to transfer metal scrap from small bins to big Multilift container.
• Daily to exchange Multilift containers from various customers to yard at Tuas.
• Be responsible for basic vehicle maintenance (washing).
• Comply to all safe work practices, LTA regulations, and safety standards.
• Be reliable, communication and responsible with customers and fellow team members.
• Follow instructions from lorry drivers and logistic team to perform trips.

Key Requirements

• Having experience working in the scrap metal recycling industry would be preferred
• Possess valid forklift operator license.
• Possess Class 4 lorry driver license.
• Hearing & Clear Vision required.
• Have at least 3 Years of Driving Experience.
• Be physically fit and Hardworking
• Able to work as a team
