Job summary

Wise is seeking a Thailand-focused Localisation Specialist to translate and adapt content from English to Thai, ensuring accuracy and naturalness for financial, product, and marketing texts.

You will work with product managers, developers, and localisation teams to define tone, improve workflows, and maintain high linguistic standards across Wise’s Thai content. This role is based in Singapore.

We are looking for a Thai Localisation Specialist to join our global localisation team.

Our localisation team is passionate about the Wise mission and wants to make sure that more countries and customers hear about it.

We want our product to be easy to use and accessible, and to speak to our customers as if it was written in their language.

This is a challenging and exciting role in which you will be able to localise and adapt our contents and also have the ability to come up with innovative ways of reaching new customers.

What about the role?

The role can be based in our Singapore office. You will work closely with the Localisation Coordination team and other Localisation Specialists based in our offices around the world.

You need to have a passion for words and experience in localisation. You should be comfortable working on finance, product and marketing contents.

At Wise, we want to make money move across borders easily and eventually free. Our team contributes to this with words - and we still have work to do.

This role will give you the opportunity to

Work with product managers, developers, and localisation managers to help identify and solve problems

Engage in creative processes and help Wise find its voice in Thai

Research the local market and find ways for Wise to stand out

Your mission

Localise Product/Marketing/Support contents from English to Thai maintaining the correct meaning, context and tone of the source text whilst adapting it to your local language

Proofread and edit translated contents for linguistic accuracy and clarity

Collaborate with the other localisation team members to promote synergies between markets or refine the tools, workflows or processes in use in the team

Evaluate and report on vendor quality for a continuous improvement cycle

Perform QA and liaise with marketers, product owners, engineers and other stakeholders to investigate, fix or overcome issues and challenges

Define and ensure a consistent tone of voice -everywhere from web pages to customer support emails

Identify and address growth opportunities with Thai audiences

Establish and maintain language glossary, guidelines and terminology for other language stakeholders and teams, and keep it accessible

Qualifications

A bit about you

Full professional proficiency in written and spoken Thai to localise, translate, and adapt financial, product, and marketing content for the Thai market, with deep familiarity with local cultural nuances, idioms, and market context.

Your linguistic skills in Thai allow you to effectively adapt your tone and style to suit product, marketing and support contents

You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

You are familiar with CAT, TMS and/or MT tools as well as best practices in terms of quality management processes and workflows

You have strong attention to detail and are committed to providing high-quality localisation

You have an analytical mind, and can express it constructively in order to reach what's best for customers

You manage your time efficiently and are used to working in a fast-paced environment with concurring deadlines whilst maintaining high standards of quality

Your cultural sensitivity and awareness allow you to accurately convey cultural nuances in your work

You have at least a Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Some extra skills that would be awesome

Knowledge of a second language would be beneficial

Experience in transcreation of marketing campaign

Being a certified translator

Experience of working in a global team
