Job summary

Crowne Plaza Changi Airport in Singapore is seeking a Lobby Ambassador to warmly welcome guests and set the tone for their stay. You’ll help guests from arrival to the lobby experience, ensuring a polished and gracious first impression.

You will guide guests through the self check-in process, answer questions about facilities and local experiences, and liaise with Front Office and Concierge to deliver personalised service.

Qualifications

• GCE O levels minimum qualification.
• Experience in hospitality or customer-facing roles.
• Calm, professional and attentive in fast-paced environments.
• Warm, approachable and service-oriented personality.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.

Job description

As a Lobby Ambassador, you will be the first welcoming presence our guests encounter and an important ambassador of our hotel’s service culture. You'll create a gracious and seamless arrival experience by warmly welcoming guests, anticipating their needs, managing guest flow, and providing thoughtful assistance throughout their time in the lobby.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Create a warm, polished, and memorable first impression by personally welcoming and acknowledging every guest entering the hotel
• Maintain a visible and approachable presence in the lobby, proactively identifying opportunities to assist guests
• Manage guest queues and lobby traffic with poise and efficiency, particularly during peak arrival periods
• Engage with guests to understand their needs and provide accurate information on hotel facilities, dining, amenities, services, transportation, and local experiences
• Personally assist and guide guests through the self check-in kiosk, ensuring a smooth and effortless arrival journey
• Provide discreet and attentive assistance to guests who may require additional support or personalized attention
• Liaise closely with Front Office, Concierge, and other hotel departments to ensure guest requests are followed through seamlessly
• Direct guests to the appropriate hotel facilities and services while maintaining a high level of professionalism and courtesy
• Recognize opportunities to exceed guest expectations through thoughtful, personalized service
• Respond to guest concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating matters appropriately when required
• Maintain the elegance, order, and welcoming atmosphere of the lobby at all times
• Support the Front Office team with other guest experience initiatives and operational duties as required

What we need from you

• A minimum qualification in GCE O levels
• Previous experience in hospitality, guest services, front office, concierge, retail, or a customer-facing role
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and attentive in a fast-paced environment
• Possess warm, approachable, and service-oriented personality
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, public holidays, and shifts where required
