Job summary

Palicon Lighting Pte. Ltd. seeks a Lighting Designer to join our team in the Central Region, Singapore. This full-time role crafts innovative lighting solutions that enhance client spaces and align with aesthetic and functional goals.

You will collaborate with clients, architects and designers; develop concepts; conduct site surveys; prepare detailed plans; and support installation and commissioning of lighting systems. Fresh graduates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architectural Design, or related field.

• Problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with clients, architects, and interior designers to understand project requirements and design goals.
• Developing lighting concepts balancing aesthetics, functionality, and energy efficiency.
• Conducting site surveys to determine optimal placement and specifications of fixtures.
• Preparing detailed lighting plans, technical drawings, and specifications for implementation.
• Providing guidance during installation and commissioning of lighting systems.
• Monitoring project progress and adjusting as needed to ensure timely completion.
• Staying up-to-date with lighting technologies, trends, and regulations.

About the role

Palicon Lighting Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Lighting Designer to join our dynamic team in the Central Region. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for creating innovative and functional lighting solutions that enhance the aesthetics and functionality of our clients' spaces.

What you'll be doing

1. Collaborating with clients, architects, and interior designers to understand project requirements and design goals




2. Developing creative lighting concepts and designs that balance aesthetic, functional, and energy-efficient considerations




3. Conducting site surveys and assessments to determine the optimal placement and specification of lighting fixtures




4. Preparing detailed lighting plans, technical drawings, and specifications for project implementation




5. Providing guidance and support during the installation and commissioning of lighting systems




6. Monitoring project progress and making adjustments as needed to ensure successful completion




7. Staying up-to-date with the latest lighting technologies, trends, and industry regulations

What we're looking for

1. Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architectural Design, or a related field




2. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply




3. Willing to learn lighting principles, design techniques, and industry standards




4. Proficiency in using design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and lighting simulation tools such as DIALux Evo is a plus




5. Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively collaborate with clients and stakeholders




6. Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines
