Job summary

MKS GLOBAL PTE. LTD. Singapore is seeking a Lighting Designer to develop lighting plans for office interior design projects, prepare proposals, select fixtures and control systems, and integrate lighting with interior design.

You will compile schedules, quotations, test and commission DALI/DALI-2 systems on site, coordinate with M&E and suppliers, and participate in client handovers. Diploma/ITE in Electrical or related field, 2–5 years' experience, and Saturday availability required.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITE in Electrical, Lighting Design, M&E, Interior Design or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in lighting design or related fields.
• Hands-on experience with DALI/DALI-2 systems preferred.
• Able to read lighting/electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and commission DALI/DALI-2 lighting control systems.
• Coordinate with M&E, electricians, designers, suppliers and project teams.

Job description

JOBSCOPE

• Develop lighting plans and lighting layouts for office interior design projects.
• Prepare lighting proposals, concepts and recommendations for client presentations and pitch decks.
• Select suitable lighting fixtures, DALI/DALI-2 drivers, sensors and control systems based on project requirements.
• Prepare lighting schedules, specifications and basic lighting control diagrams.
• Work with designers and project teams to integrate lighting design with the overall interior design.
• Propose lighting solutions based on functionality, aesthetics, energy efficiency and budget.
• Support the team in preparing lighting quotations and material specifications.
• Coordinate with lighting suppliers and manufacturers on product selection, pricing and technical information.
• Install, configure and commission DALI/DALI-2 lighting control systems.
• Programme lighting groups, scenes, dimming and sensors.
• Test, troubleshoot and rectify lighting control issues on site.
• Coordinate with M&E, electricians, designers, suppliers and project teams.
• Conduct testing, commissioning and client handover.

REQUIRED ABILITIES, SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE (ASK)

• Diploma/ITE in Electrical, Lighting Design, M&E, Interior Design or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in lighting design, lighting controls, electrical or M&E works.
• Hands-on experience with DALI/DALI-2 systems preferred.
• Experience preparing lighting layouts, proposals or presentations is an advantage.
• Good understanding of commercial office lighting and interior design.
• Able to read lighting/electrical drawings.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of lighting design software is an advantage.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in commercial office fit-out projects is preferred.
• Must be able to commit on Saturdays

Location: Singaopore - HabourFront Tower (Office) & Tuas (Factory)

Working hours: Mondays - Saturdays, Regular hours
