The Straits Times, Singapore's flagship English daily, seeks a Lifestyle Journalist for ST Life. The role focuses on uncovering trends, crafting engaging stories, and delivering content across platforms to inform and inspire readers.

You will work in a fast-paced editorial environment, with deadlines and opportunities to experiment with social media, video, and podcasts. Ideal candidates have 3–10 years in journalism, a degree, and excellent command of English, plus strong writing,

Qualifications

3–10 years of journalism experience, Lifestyle or news reporting is a plus.
Degree from a recognised university.
Excellent command of English.
Strong writing and reporting skills, with the ability to produce compelling, and engaging content on tight deadlines.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with newsmakers, colleagues, and audiences.
Good news sense with a good understanding of online and mobile readership.
Comfortable using social media and digital tools to research, report, and promote content.
Willingness to be rostered to work on shifts, weekends and/or public holidays.

Responsibilities

Cover lifestyle stories for The Straits Times Life section.
Uncover trends and package these into informative, engaging stories.
Create content across multiple platforms including social media, video, podcasts, and radio.
