Job summary

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of journalism experience, Lifestyle or news reporting is a plus.
• Degree from a recognised university.
• Excellent command of English.
• Strong writing and reporting skills, with the ability to produce compelling, and engaging content on tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with newsmakers, colleagues, and audiences.
• Good news sense with a good understanding of online and mobile readership.
• Comfortable using social media and digital tools to research, report, and promote content.
• Willingness to be rostered to work on shifts, weekends and/or public holidays.

The ideal candidate

• Can home in on the latest lifestyle industry developments, spot and analyse trends, and package these into informative, engaging and useful stories
• Is adept at any of the following skills, with the goal of creating content on multiple platforms to amplify the ST Life brand: social media, video presentation/production, SEO, podcasts, radio
• Writes with flair
• Is curious about the world and open to new lifestyle experiences
• Hardworking, resourceful, full of initiative and able to meet deadlines

Job requirements
