Job summary

SJ Defence Services Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a pool Lifeguard to supervise swimmer safety across the premises. The role requires vigilance, timely response to emergencies, and enforcement of pool rules.

You will conduct regular inspections of the pool environment and lifesaving equipment, and follow SOPs including emergency action plans. Bronze Medallion/WSQ Lifeguard, First Aid and AED certifications, plus a proficiency assessment, are required. Split shifts are necessary.

Qualifications

• Possess valid pool lifeguard qualification (Bronze Medallion) or WSQ National Pool Lifeguard Certification.
• Possess valid Standard First Aid and AED Certification.
• Pass a proficiency assessment conducted by SportSG.
• Willing to work on split-shift.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safety of swimmers and prevent injury by supervising the pool area.
• Provide pool rescue in accordance with set emergency procedures.
• Inform users to abide by pool rules and regulations.
• Perform regular inspections of swimming pool environment and lifesaving equipment.
• Adhere to SOPs and pool surveillance procedures and emergency action plans.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safety of swimmers and prevent injury by providing supervision to the area at regular intervals (e.g. patrol around the pool), reacting immediately to any emergency and identify any possible signs of distress.
• Provide pool rescue in accordance with set emergency procedures.
• Inform users when necessary to abide by the rules and regulations of the swimming complexes.
• Perform regular inspections of swimming pool environment and lifesaving equipment in the swimming complexes.
• Familiar with swimming complexes' SOPs and adhere to requirements such as pool surveillance procedure, emergency action plans

Requirements

• Possess valid pool lifeguard qualification from Singapore Life Saving Society (Bronze Medallion) or WSQ National Pool Lifeguard Certification from SkillsFuture Singapore.
• Possess valid Standard First Aid and AED Certification.
• Pass a proficiency assessment conducted by SportSG.
• Willing to work on split-shift.
