Job summary

SJ Defence Services is seeking a trained lifeguard to ensure the safety of swimmers, perform rescues when needed, and enforce pool rules on-site at our facilities in Singapore.

The role requires certification in lifeguarding, first aid, and AED, plus the ability to work split shifts and follow SOPs for pool surveillance and emergency action plans.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid lifeguard qualification issued by Singapore Life Saving Society (Bronze Medallion) or WSQ Lifeguard Cert.
• Must hold Standard First Aid and AED Certifications.
• Pass a proficiency assessment conducted by SportSG.

Responsibilities

• Oversee swimmer safety and monitor the pool area at regular intervals.
• Provide pool rescue according to established emergency procedures.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safety of swimmers and prevent injury by providing supervision to the area at regular intervals (e.g. patrol around the pool), reacting immediately to any emergency and identify any possible signs of distress.
• Provide pool rescue in accordance with set emergency procedures.
• Inform users when necessary to abide by the rules and regulations of the swimming complexes.
• Perform regular inspections of swimming pool environment and lifesaving equipment in the swimming complexes.
• Familiar with swimming complexes' SOPs and adhere to requirements such as pool surveillance procedure, emergency action plans

Requirements

• Possess valid pool lifeguard qualification from Singapore Life Saving Society (Bronze Medallion) or WSQ National Pool Lifeguard Certification from SkillsFuture Singapore.
• Possess valid Standard First Aid and AED Certification.
• Pass a proficiency assessment conducted by SportSG.
• Willing to work on split-shift.

Candidate with relevant experience will be remunerated accordingly.
