Job summary

InSchool is seeking a driven coach to join our team in Singapore, working with neurodivergent children aged 7-12. You will participate in end-to-end teaching activities and help create a supportive learning environment that positively impacts families and children with special needs.

You will collaborate with coaches to plan activities, monitor progress, and adapt to an evolving educational setting while maintaining a patient, empathetic approach and strong team spirit.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of working experience within a SPED school or with children with special needs.
• Strong communication, collaboration and relationship-building with students, parents and team members.
• Patience, empathy and a desire to help students reach their potential.
• Initiative, independence and positive influence on the team.
• Resourceful, results-driven, able to solve problems and adapt to changing educational environments.

Responsibilities

• Create a clean, safe and conducive learning environment to promote students' development and learning.
• Assist coaches in planning and designing classroom activities and preparing learning resources and materials.
• Support coaches in teaching students to follow instructions during lessons.
• Build good relationships with students through care and encouragement.
• Help coaches with data collection through daily observation and track progress toward goals.
• Collaborate with the team to support students’ well-being and development.
• Implement robust classroom routines to maintain discipline.

Overview:

InSchool is a social enterprise that provides a structured before & after school empowerment programme, specially designed for neurodivergent children (aged 7-12) to build functional life skills, social confidence & independence.

We are seeking a driven, talented and dedicated coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with students with special needs and will be committed to creating a supportive learning environment as we continue to make meaningful impact to society and build an inclusive future.

You will be involved in the end-to-end execution of your teaching work and experience how your effort is positively changing and impacting the lives of families and children with special needs.

Responsibilities:

• - Create clean, safe and conducive learning environment to promote students' development and learning.
• - Assist coaches in planning and designing classroom activities and preparing learning resources and materials.
• - Support coaches in teaching/coaching students in your charge to carry out instructions of the activities during lessons.
• - Build good relationships with students through care and encouragement.
• - Help coaches with data collection through daily observation of each student and track progress/monitor each student's goals and objectives.
• - Collaborate with overall team to support students’ well-being and development.
• - Implement positive, robust classroom routines and practices to maintain classroom discipline.

Requirements:

• - Minimum 1 year of working experience within a SPED school and/or worked with children with special needs, including but not limited to autism, intellectual disabilities, down syndrome etc.
• - Having a specialist diploma/degree in a relevant or related field or valid teaching certification in Special Education is good but optional.
• - Some understanding of the special education laws and regulations.
• - Strong in communicating, collaborating and building relationships with students, parents and team members.
• - Good patience, empathy and desire to help students achieve their potential.
• - Takes the initiative, can be independent, and positively influences your team.
• - Resourceful, result-driven, can problem-solve, flexible and adaptable to the changing educational environment.
• - Likes to learn and able to learn on the job.
