Job summary

Axiom is seeking a Payments & Regulatory Legal Consultant to advise the business on payments, financial services regulation, and regulatory risk across markets. You will provide regulatory guidance on payment services, e-money, digital wallets, card schemes, and related financial products.

You will assess licensing needs, support new product launches and partnerships, monitor developments in legislation, and interact with regulators such as MAS.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a payments focused role, with traditional MAS-regulated banking experience.
• Experience in financial services, payments, fintech, banking, or a related regulatory practice.
• Strong understanding of payment services regulation and financial services regulatory frameworks.
• Experience advising on payment products, fintech business models, financial institutions, or regulated technology businesses.
• Strong commercial drafting and contract negotiation skills.
• Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business advice.
• Experience working across multiple jurisdictions is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder-management, and project-management skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
