Job summary

WhiteFern LLC, a boutique disputes firm in Singapore, invites associates to join a dynamic practice with an emphasis on insurance and commercial disputes. The role offers early responsibility, direct supervision from senior leaders, and exposure to State Courts, arbitration, and appellate matters.

Candidates with 0–3 years' PQE who are Singapore-qualified, and who demonstrate strong communication, initiative and a commercial mindset, are invited to apply in a fast-paced, technology-enabled

Qualifications

• 0 to 3 years' PQE, Singapore-qualified. Applicants completing their practice training or awaiting call are welcome to apply.
• Prior disputes exposure, whether in practice or during practice training, is an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Initiative, drive and commercial sense; able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Meticulous and well-organised.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced professional services environment.
• Comfortable with technology and interested in how it can improve legal work.

Responsibilities

• Handle own dispute files with direct supervision.
• Advocacy in State Courts from an early stage, with exposure to General Division and High Court, Court of Appeal, and arbitration.
• Maintain a varied caseload across insurance and commercial disputes.
• Collaborate within a collegiate team and contribute to professional development.

About Us

WhiteFern LLC is a boutique disputes firm with a dedicated insurance and reinsurance practice, recognised in leading directories such as Chambers Asia-Pacific, asialaw, Legal 500. Our broad range of services include policy coverage advice, third-party claim management, defence and mitigation, and business-related advice for insurers. Our team also provides counsel on disputes between insurers and service providers, contract reviews with business partners such as vendor and marketing platforms, and policy wording evaluations for new products. Beyond insurers, the firm is a trusted advisor to intermediaries, loss adjusters and other market players.

Alongside our insurance work, we have a fast-growing commercial disputes practice spanning litigation, mediation and arbitration. We are regularly instructed on commercial, construction, employment, shareholders', professional negligence and medical negligence disputes, and on disputes involving MCSTs. We appear regularly before the Singapore courts and before arbitral tribunals.

The Role
