Job summary

Singapore Polytechnic is seeking a Lecturer in Facilities Management to teach diploma and higher level modules, develop curricula, and mentor students. You will engage in projects and consultancy in Smart Facilities Management and ensure effective teaching practices across the program.

Successful candidates will contribute to curriculum development and collaborations with internal and external stakeholders, including applied research initiatives, under a 2-year contract.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in related Built Environment disciplines.
• Experience in facilities management and planning preventive, routine and predictive maintenance.
• In-depth knowledge of building systems integration and smart FM technologies.
• Passion for education and mentoring students.
• Self-driven, independent and able to work in a team.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Added advantage: GMP, Fire Safety Manager or other safety certifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct lessons, create teaching materials and mentor students.
• Develop and maintain curriculum and learning materials for FM modules.
• Apply effective pedagogy to facilitate learning.
• Lead projects or consultancy work with internal and external stakeholders in Smart Facilities Management.
