Job summary

Temasek Polytechnic in Singapore seeks an experienced CET designer and lecturer to design, develop, review, and deliver veterinary-related programmes including full qualifications and short courses. You will create learning materials, adopt learner-centric methods, develop e-learning content, and coordinate pre-semester planning while promoting courses.

The role requires industry experience, passion for mentoring, teamwork, and the ability to teach evening classes.

Qualifications

• Qualification in veterinary technology/veterinary nursing or equivalent.
• 3–8 years of relevant industrial experience in a vet clinic/animal hospital.
• Familiar with Day One Competences for Veterinary Nurses.
• Passion for developing talents and sharing knowledge with youths and adult learners.
• Able to work evenings for night classes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated capacity to work within a team.

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, review, and deliver Continuing Education and Training (CET) programmes (both full qualifications and short courses) in veterinary–related disciplines such as animal care, veterinary nursing, animal behaviour and training.
• Develop training materials, including lesson plans, slides, assessments, and practical guides
• Identify emerging industry trends and opportunities to develop new CET courses and programmes
• Adopt innovative and learner‑centric teaching methodologies, including blended and experiential learning approaches
• Design and develop e‑learning content, including microlearning modules
• Monitor and evaluate course satisfaction and performance
• Implement improvements to enhance learning outcomes and participant experience
• Coordinate pre‑semester planning, including timetabling, resource allocation, and course setup
• Support course promotion activities

Prerequisites

• Qualification in veterinary technology/veterinary nursing or its equivalent from recognised institutions.
• At least 3 to 8 years of relevant industrial experience in a vet clinic/animal hospital.
• Familiar with ‘Day One Competences’ for Veterinary Nurses.
• Have a passion for developing talents, and genuine interest to share knowledge and interact with youths and adult learners.
• Resourceful and able to work independently to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure.
