Job summary

Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Singapore is seeking a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Mathematics & Infocomm Technology for a 2-year contract. You will develop and deliver curriculum and assessments for the Polytechnic Foundation Programme students, and teach IT-related modules both full-time and part-time, including evenings or weekends.

You will mentor students, contribute to academic research and poly-wide projects, and participate in administration and outreach initiatives that support the School’s

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• Preferably at least 3 years of relevant industry experience in Mathematics and/or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability and interest to plan, develop, and teach Mathematics and digital skills-related modules.
• Strong interest in curriculum development and applied teaching approaches.
• A nurturing mindset with passion for working with young adults and adult learners.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good planning, organising, writing, and multi-tasking skills.
• Agile, adaptable, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Able to teach at least one evening or weekends in the week.

• Counsel and mentor students to support their learning and personal development, including education and career guidance.
• Lead or participate in academic research, data analysis, implementation initiatives, and/or poly-wide projects.
• Undertake academic-related administration, committee work, outreach activities, and ad-hoc projects that support the School’s mission.
• Lead or support educational and enrichment programmes, including study trips where applicable.
