Job summary

Singapore Institute of Management Group is seeking a Learning Solutions Architect to design, develop, and manage a portfolio of learner-centred solutions across classroom, virtual, and self-paced modalities. Job description

The Learning Solutions Architect designs, develops, and manages a portfolio of learning solutions that address workforce and organisational capability needs. Working closely with subject matter experts, courseware developers, industry partners, and internal stakeholders, the role translates learning requirements into effective, learner-centred solutions.

The successful candidate will possess a strong foundation in adult learning and curriculum design, recognised certifications in learning and development practice (ACTA/ACLP and DACE/DDDLP), and proven project management experience to lead multiple learning solution development initiatives in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Learning and Performance Needs Analysis

• Conduct learning and performance needs analyses with stakeholders, learners, subject matter experts, and industry partners.
• Identify capability gaps, performance challenges, and authentic workplace learning requirements.
• Translate business and workforce needs into learning solution requirements and design specifications.

Learning Solution Architecture and Design

• Design learner-centred, blended learning solutions that align with identified learning and performance outcomes.
• Develop curriculum frameworks, programme structures, and learning pathways that support workplace application and continuous learning.
• Design instructional strategies that leverage evidence-based learning methodologies and innovative approaches.
• Design learning experiences across multiple modalities, including classroom, virtual, self-paced, and workplace learning environments.
• Apply appropriate learning technologies and pedagogical approaches to maximise learner engagement and performance impact.
• Ensure learning solutions are scalable, relevant, and aligned with industry and organisational requirements.

Assessment Design

• Design assessment strategies and instruments that effectively measure learning outcomes and workplace application.
• Design formative and summative assessment approaches aligned with programme objectives.

Learning Resource Development and Quality Assurance

• Work closely with courseware developers and subject matter experts to develop high-quality learning resources and learning assets.
• Direct and oversee the development of learning materials to ensure alignment with learning objectives and curriculum requirements.
• Review and validate course materials to ensure instructional quality, accuracy, consistency, and learner relevance.
• Ensure learning resources support an effective and engaging learning experience.
• Manage a portfolio of learning products and programmes throughout their lifecycle.
• Review and enhance existing programmes to ensure relevance, quality, and alignment with market and workforce needs.
• Identify opportunities for new learning products, programme enhancements, and innovation initiatives.
• Conduct periodic reviews of programmes to maintain currency, quality, and effectiveness.

Stakeholder and Partner Management

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with subject matter experts, industry practitioners, and learning partners.
• Facilitate collaboration among stakeholders to support programme development and delivery.
• Align learning objectives, content expertise, and organisational requirements to achieve desired outcomes.

Project Management

• Lead and manage learning solution development projects from initiation through implementation.
• Develop project plans, timelines, resource requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Learning Innovation and AI Adoption

• Leverage Generative AI and emerging technologies to improve learning design, content development, and learner engagement.
• Explore innovative approaches to enhance learning effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability.
• Stay informed of industry trends, learning technologies, and evolving best practices.
