Job summary

NEA National Environment Agency's Environmental Health Institute in Singapore invites applications for a research-focused role supporting vector surveillance and laboratory work. The position offers exposure to multi-disciplinary teams and evidence-based public health initiatives.

You will conduct field and lab activities, analyze data, prepare reports, and help maintain logistics for Aedes-related projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or above in Life Sciences or related disciplines.
At least 1 year of relevant experience in entomology or related life science areas would be an advantage.
Able to work independently and in a team.
Able to systematically perform routine workflow with an eye for detail.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Good knowledge in Microsoft Office.
Able to analyse and interpret data using relevant analytical tools or software.
Physically fit and possess the physical endurance for the challenges of field work.
Proficient in scientific writing, reporting, and communications.
Valid Class 3 driver’s licence with willingness to travel to field sites preferred (vehicle provided if available).

Responsibilities

Routine and systematic fieldwork and laboratory tasks forming the foundation of evidence-based research outcomes.
Vector surveillance and lab studies, mosquito identification, sample processing, data entry and analyses.
Preparation and maintenance of logistics for projects.
