Job summary

ENCORE ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a senior maintenance lead to oversee black and clean utility systems at a pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Singapore.

You will coordinate technicians, supervise contractors and OEM staff, ensure reliable utility supply, and uphold GMP and safety standards to minimise production disruption. Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate utility technicians with daily work allocation and guidance.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on black utility systems: steam, condensate, chilled water, cooling water, and compressed air.
• Maintain PW, WFI, and clean steam systems in the site scope.
• Inspect and service pumps, valves, piping, heat exchangers, filters, compressors, and related equipment.
• Monitor operating parameters and promptly report leaks and abnormal conditions.
• Respond to utility breakdowns and coordinate repairs to minimise downtime.
• Coordinate maintenance activities, shutdowns, and system reinstatement with site teams.
• Supervise contractors and OEM personnel, confirming scopes, schedules, and parts before work starts.
• Ensure compliance with access, induction, PTW, and GMP requirements for all contractors and OEMs.
• Monitor work quality, safety, progress, and housekeeping; escalate delays or scope changes as needed.
• Verify completion, review service reports, and support equipment testing and handover to service.
• Follow LO/TO, pressure safety and approved SOPs during maintenance tasks.
• Maintain hygiene and prevent contamination when working on clean utility systems in controlled areas.
• Support sanitization, flushing, sampling, and system qualification per approved procedures.
• Ensure accurate maintenance records in SAP PM with timely updates.
• Report recurring faults and contribute to CAPA investigations and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with E&I technicians on instrumentation and electrical faults affecting utilities.
• Check tools, maintenance equipment, and spare parts availability for planned work.
• Provide guidance to junior technicians and ensure proper shift handovers and knowledge transfer.
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety programs, and continuous improvement activities.
