Job summary

AUTHENTIC HR PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced software engineer to lead the architecture and development of ground control software for underwater robotic systems.

You will build core modules for device management, mission configuration, teleoperation, and data playback, while shaping intuitive UI and robust workflows. Ideal candidates have strong C++ skills, desktop app experience, and deep knowledge of networking, multimedia visualization, and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in CS, Software/Automation or related.
• Strong C++ development skills with solid coding practices.
• Hands-on experience in desktop application development with UI/layout understanding.
• Strong knowledge of network communication protocols (TCP/UDP/WebSocket/Serial) and connection recovery.
• Experience with multimedia/graphics development and visualization.
• Experience with modular software architecture, testing, CI, and automated build/release processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, development, and enhancement of ground control software for underwater robotic systems (device management, mission config, teleoperation, monitoring, data playback).
• Design and implement user interfaces and workflows to improve usability and efficiency, including multi-window layouts and access controls.
• Develop and maintain communication links across serial, Ethernet, UDP/TCP; optimize bandwidth and latency.
• Integrate and visualize telemetry from multiple sources including video, sonar, IMU/depth/attitude/velocity, and trajectories.
• Create mission planning tools: waypoint editing, area mapping, workflow orchestration, templates, and automated reports.
• Contribute to logging, data lifecycle, playback, export, crash capture, and automated issue reporting for troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with algorithm, embedded, testing, and product teams for on-site delivery and sea trials; drive issues to resolution.
• Support cross-platform architecture, modular design, automated builds, versioning, and release processes.
