Job summary

Seagate Technology in Singapore’s Woodlands site invites a technically minded engineer to lead test qualification, failure analysis, and production ramp activities. You will guide new test setups, ensure data accuracy, and drive improvements across platforms.

You will mentor junior staff, maintain procedures, and work with global teams to address risks, findings, and corrective actions. A strong background in electrical engineering, testing, statistics, and Python/Excel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience in manufacturing or test environments.
• Experience leading qualification, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement projects.
• Strong knowledge of test validation, measurement systems, and statistical analysis.
• Proficiency in data analysis and automation tools such as Excel, VBA, Python.

Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation and qualification of new test scripts, setups, test heads, equipment and methods with focus on data accuracy and repeatability.
• Drive troubleshooting and root cause analysis for test discrepancies, customer failures, and internal returns to closure.
• Provide technical leadership for new product qualification and production ramp, communicating risks and recommendations to local/global teams.
• Lead improvement projects on test quality, capacity, cycle time, and cost; translate findings into practical solutions.
• Serve as the technical owner for assigned test platforms, test-head inventory, usage, disposition and ordering.
• Maintain test procedures, control plans, methods and documentation to ensure reliable execution.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians and contribute to team capability development.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, quality management, ESD, 5S, and cleanroom requirements; support other duties as needed.
