Job summary

MCONNECT CONSULTING is seeking an experienced Software Developer (Test Automation) to design, develop and maintain automated testing solutions for enterprise applications and digital banking systems. You will lead test automation initiatives, improve software quality, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable and secure software delivery.

The role requires 7–10 years of software testing experience with 4–5 years in hands-on automation and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or related discipline.
• 7–10 years in software testing, QA, or test automation; 4–5 years hands-on automation and leading automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, maintenance and optimisation of scalable test automation frameworks across web, mobile, API, file-based interfaces and messaging systems.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and suites using Selenium, Playwright, Appium, Pytest, Postman, REST Assured and Karate.
• Translate requirements and user stories into test strategies, plans, cases, BDD/Gherkin scenarios, and end-to-end automated scripts.
• Perform functional, regression, API, cross-browser, mobile, and UAT testing for digital banking applications.
• Integrate automation frameworks into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket and Docker.
