Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Canada in Singapore seeks technicians to assemble, disassemble and inspect engines and modules, reading SOPs and updating SAP work orders. You will collaborate with operations leaders to hit production targets, while engaging in EHS and continuous improvement initiatives.

Training and overtime may be required. Qualified candidates have a mechanical NITEC or higher, 2 years of related experience, and a readiness to work rotating Day/Night shifts with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• NITEC or Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2 years of relevant experience in engine or module assembly/disassembly/inspection or testing.
• Good understanding of technical drawings such as Engine Manuals.
• Willing to learn and participate in on-the-job trainings and certifications.
• Commit to rotating shifts (Day & Night) and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Utilize machines/equipment/tools to assemble, disassemble and inspect engines, modules, parts or accessories.
• Read and execute standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Resolve technical issues encountered in daily work.
• Assist Operations Leader/Cell Leaders in daily operations to meet targets and maintain discipline.
• Carry out SAP transactions and update works orders in SAP.
• Support EHS, Continuous Improvement and Ethics initiatives.

What You Will Do

• Utilize machines/ equipment/ tools to carry out assembly, disassembly and inspect functions of engines, its associated modules, parts, components or accessories.
• Read and execute the standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Solve technical issues and problems as appropriate when encounter in their daily work.
• Assist the Operations Leader/ Assistant Foremen/ Cell Leaders in their daily operations to achieve production targets, corporate goals and discipline.
• Carry out SAP transaction and make necessary changes to works order in SAP.
• Actively support and participate in EHS and Continuous Improvement and Ethics culture projects and any other corporate initiatives.

Qualifications You Must Have

• NITEC or Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering disciplines.
• 2 years relevant experience in engine or module assembly/disassembly/inspection or testing.
• Good understanding of technical drawing such as Engine Manuals.

• Commit to work on rotating shifts (Day & Night) and overtime on need basis.
