Job summary

NTU's School of Materials Science and Engineering invites a Research Fellow to lead sustainable battery research, including aqueous and solid-state systems. You will build and mentor a growing team, pursue external funding, and disseminate results through publications and reports.

The role requires collaboration with international partners to advance lab-scale technologies to pilot implementations. We seek a creative researcher with a PhD and a strong track record in electrochemical energy

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong research background in electrochemical energy systems.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in leading multidisciplinary research projects.
• Excellent publication record and international conference presentations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in project management and coordinating multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the R&D of next-generation sustainable battery systems.
• Purchasing, managing, maintaining, and servicing lab equipment.
• Prepare and contribute to grant applications and conference presentations.
• Produce high-quality research results for journals and reports.
• Supervise and mentor junior researchers, engineers, and postdocs.
• Collaborate with industrial and academic partners to scale lab results to pilots.
