Job summary

CHECC (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. is seeking an on-site Structural Engineer to supervise and manage all structural steel works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and specifications.

You will review steel shop drawings, connection details, and fabrication drawings, and coordinate with structural consultants, steel fabricators, and subcontractors to meet project requirements and timelines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of structural steel experience.
• Knowledge of shop drawings and welding standards.
• Familiarity with Singapore codes and construction practices.
• Ability to read structural and steel drawings.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all structural steel works on-site per drawings and specs.
• Review steel shop drawings, connection details, and fabrication drawings.
• Coordinate with structural consultants, fabricators, and subcontractors.
• Monitor fabrication, delivery, and installation of structural steel components.
• Ensure proper erection sequence and welding/bolting works.
• Conduct site inspections to verify quality and tolerances.
• Coordinate lifting activities with the lifting team.
• Ensure compliance with project specs, codes and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and site constraints.
• Maintain documentation such as inspection records and reports.
• Support project progress tracking and timely completion.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
