Job summary

Motional is seeking a senior engineering leader to drive a perception data, training, and evaluation platform. You will guide a team of engineers and ML specialists, while contributing production-quality code and setting strategic direction for scalable data pipelines.

You will work closely with ML teams to optimize workflows, implement robust tooling, and deliver dashboards and insights that accelerate autonomous-vehicle development.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering with 3+ years in leadership or mentorship.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.
• Hands-on production-quality code in a shared codebase.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and manage a high-performing data/ML pipelines team.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and career development.
• Define team goals, priorities, and roadmap aligned with company objectives.
• Collaborate with ML engineers to troubleshoot and optimize ML workflows end-to-end.
• Lead design reviews and establish best practices for code quality.
• Foster cross-functional alignment with broader organizational goals.
