Job summary

EPAM is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Singapore to design and ship production-ready microservices and rich user interfaces using Java 21, Spring Boot, React and TypeScript. You will set engineering standards through code reviews, architecture decisions and delivery ownership from design through release.

You will lead end-to-end delivery, build and review Java/Spring microservices and REST APIs, craft React interfaces, define API contracts, and mentor engineers in an Agile environment while

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Java development using recent long-term support releases.
• Hands-on experience building Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience building React Front-end applications with TypeScript.
• Knowledge of state management using Redux or similar approaches.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL, Hibernate or Spring Data JPA.
• Hands-on experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes (K8s).
• Experience with CI using Git, Maven/Gradle and Jenkins or similar tooling.
• Experience providing technical leadership in Agile teams, including mentoring and stakeholder alignment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and delivery of full stack solutions from discovery to production support.
• Build and review Java 21 and Spring Boot microservices, REST APIs and integrations.
• Build and review React and Type interfaces using scalable component patterns.
• Define API contracts, data flows and boundaries across Front-end and Back-end.
• Set coding standards, branching strategies and quality controls for the team.
• Drive automated testing across unit, integration and end-to-end layers.
• Partner with DevOps and site reliability engineering teams to deliver via CI/CD on OpenShift.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews and day-to-day technical guidance.
