Job summary

ST Engineering is seeking a software development professional with 6+ years of experience in C/C++ to join its cyber services team. The role involves leading operational support, planning testing (regression, load, performance), and configuring servers in production and test environments while delivering comprehensive documentation and deployments.

The candidate should be proficient in OOP, secure coding, .NET, Python/PowerShell, and UI programming, with strong communication and leadership

Qualifications

• At least 6 years’ experience in development of production software in C/C++.
• Knowledge in Object Oriented Programming, Secure Coding, .NET programming, Python/PowerShell scripting and/or UI programming is preferred.
• Familiar with source code version control tools such as GIT.
• Strong interest in software development and engineering; lead a small team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in operational and support activities including case management, troubleshooting and onsite engineering support.
• Plan, coordinate and perform testing activities such as regression, load, performance, integration, and acceptance testing.
• Plan and assist in configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting servers and workstations in production and test environments.
• Lead and assist in maintaining software documentation (test plan/procedures/reports, maintenance/manuals, user manuals).
• Lead and assist in deployment of custom software and manage software change requests.

Job Description

Lead and assist in operational and support activities including case management, troubleshooting and onsite engineering support. Plan, coordinate and perform testing activities such as regression, load, performance, integration, and acceptance testing. Plan and assist in configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting servers and workstations in production and test environments. Lead and assist in maintaining software documentation. The documentation includes test plan, test procedures, test report, maintenance manual, and user manual. Lead and assist in deployment of custom software. Manage and implement software change requests. Provide administration and support services for custom systems and software releases. Example system administration tasks include file access control, user administration and change management on production and test environments.

Job Requirements

At least 6 years’ experience in development of production software in C/C++. Knowledge in Object Oriented Programming, Secure Coding, .NET programming, Python/PowerShell scripting and/or UI programming is preferred. Familiar with source code version control tools such as GIT. Strong interest in software development and engineering. Possess initiative and willingness to learn. Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to lead a small team.
