Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in the CIB Technology - Currencies and Emerging Markets team to drive secure, scalable software platforms. You will contribute technically while guiding best practices and AI-assisted development across the team.

The role emphasizes collaboration with operations, trading desks, and quantitative research to enable technology modernization and support frontline business objectives.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, development, testing and stability.
• Advanced in one or more programming languages.
• Experience leading use of AI-assisted development tools with quality validation.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development and troubleshooting.
• Develops secure high-quality production code and reviews peers’ work.
• Drives AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality, speed and reliability.
• Applies SDLC tools to improve value of automation and tooling.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation for stability.
• Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and teams on architecture.
• Collaborates with Operation, Trading, Quant research and tech to modernize workflows.
