Job summary

Collins Aerospace Additive Design and Manufacturing (ADaM) in Singapore seeks a Lead Quality Engineer to drive quality initiatives and mature the Quality Management System on site. You will lead quality operations, coordinate IPTs across operations, engineering and the metallurgical lab, and interface with US and Singapore quality teams.

You will own RCCA and 8D processes, implement APQP per AS9145, manage FAI to AS9102, and develop metrics like PPM and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

Typically requires University Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years prior experience
Working experience with a Quality Management System (i.e. AS9100, ISO 9001, etc.).
Working experience leading operations/product quality activities independently in a manufacturing environment; Ability to manage tasks and initiatives with limited oversight.
Ability to effectively lead and influence other business functions, including operations, engineering, etc.
Working experience with drawings/specs and GD&T.
Thorough knowledge of advanced metrology inspection techniques (CMM, 3D scanning, etc.)
Working experience with APQP (PPAP, MSA, PFMEA, etc.)
Working experience with Material Review Boards (MRB).
Working experience with RCCA and applying quality methodology and tools (8D or similar).
Working experience with SPC.
Working experience with ERP and MES systems (SAP, Solumina, etc.).
Working experience writing, revising and maintaining QMS documents, SOPs or similar per requirements.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary onsite quality representative and interface for customers, internal stakeholders and suppliers ensuring products meet quality requirements and standards.
Lead site quality operations, coordinating IPTs with operations, engineering and metallurgical lab to drive problem resolution and implement process improvements.
Partner with global ADaM process owners and leadership as needed.
Lead the development, implementation and improvement of the ADaM Quality Management System (QMS). Revise QMS policies and procedures as needed.
Define, map and implement the site Quality Control process ensuring controls for metrology inspection.
Manage the First Article Inspection (FAI) process ensuring compliance to AS9102 and internal requirements.
Define inspection criteria and develop inspection plans, sampling plans, and measurement methodologies with Metallurgical Lab.
Establish SPC in collaboration with Engineering to monitor and control inspection processes.
Lead RCCA processes using 8D methodology and ensure timely closeout.
Implement APQP per AS9145 in partnership with engineering; own NPI quality processes.
Establish the site Quality Clinic and develop quality metrics (PPM, On Time Delivery, COPQ).
Oversee MRB activities ensuring timely disposition and corrective actions.
Manage site calibration program for MTE with owners.
Analyze, validate and approve inspection data and reports with cross-functional leadership.
Serve as primary owner/reviewer/approver of SAP and MES (Solumina) quality setups.
Support QASL processes ensuring inputs to Supplier Quality.
Ensure onsite supplier controls are implemented per requirements.
