Job summary

Lonza Biologics Tuas Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Lead Scientist to join the Purification Development team. You will lead process development and characterization activities, serving as a downstream SME and providing scientific support for manufacturing and regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

4–7 years of experience in protein purification and process development.
PhD candidates with 2–5 years experience may be considered.
Strong expertise in protein purification and Process Characterization; experience in Process Validation and/or Viral Clearance is advantageous.
Experience with statistical software (e.g., JMP) for DoE data analysis is advantageous.
Understanding of cGMP/BLA requirements is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee Process Development, Process Characterization, and/or Viral Clearance activities, including study planning and interpretation of outcomes.
Drive small-scale model studies such as FMEA, DoE, resin reuse/lifetime studies and regulatory-submission support.
Lead and support purification activities, including chromatography (Affinity, Mixed-Mode, and Ion Exchange) and UF/DF.
Train and mentor junior scientists and new hires in laboratory techniques.
Prepare and review protocols, reports, SOPs and technical documentation.
Coordinate multiple projects to ensure timely delivery and provide technical support for manufacturing operations.
