Job summary

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on coding, and collaboration with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions. Based in Singapore with full-time on-site work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/IT or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of software development experience, with at least 2 years in leadership/senior role.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Programmer to lead our software development team in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing technical development, mentoring developers, ensuring software quality, and delivering projects on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications.
• Manage and mentor a team of software developers and programmers.
• Define software architecture and technical standards.
• Review source code and ensure adherence to coding best practices.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze system requirements.
• Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Coordinate project timelines, task allocation, and resource planning.
• Ensure software quality through testing, code reviews, and documentation.
• Integrate third-party APIs and enterprise systems where required.
• Monitor system performance and implement continuous improvements.
• Keep up to date with emerging technologies and recommend suitable solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation, user guides, and system specifications.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, data protection, and company policies.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of software development experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or senior programming role.
• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, PHP, or Go.
• Experience with modern frameworks such as .NET, Spring Boot, Node.js, React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Knowledge of SQL and database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, system integration, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
• Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication, leadership, and project management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AI, automation, or machine learning projects is an advantage.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
• PMP, Scrum Master, AWS, Azure, or other relevant professional certifications are advantageous.
• Experience leading enterprise software implementation projects.
