Job summary

Fine Art Framing, Precision Manufacturing & Glass Installation is seeking an experienced Production Engineering Manager to lead our frame-making and glass installation operations. The role focuses on delivering premium frames, precise glazing, and gallery projects with meticulous craftsmanship.

You will manage daily production, oversee frame manufacturing and installation, and drive process improvements while maintaining high-quality standards for valuable artwork.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background with excellent production management skills.
• Experience with precision framing and handling high-value artwork.
• Ability to read drawings, measurements and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily production activities from planning to completion.
• Coordinate frame manufacturing, assembly, finishing, glazing, packing and installation.
• Ensure work meets exact specifications and high-quality standards.
• Develop and improve production processes for efficiency and precision.
• Read and interpret drawings, measurements, and job requirements accurately.
• Oversee glass cutting, glazing, framing and installation processes.
• Implement strict quality-control procedures for high-value artwork and gallery projects.
• Manage production schedules, workflow, materials and manpower.
• Collaborate with clients, designers, galleries, artists and internal teams to deliver on time.
• Identify production issues and provide engineering solutions.
• Supervise and train production and installation staff.
• Ensure safe working practices and proper handling of delicate artwork.
• Monitor material usage, wastage, tools, equipment and costs.
• Continuously improve workshop systems, machinery, tooling and methods.
