Job summary

Duke-NUS Medical School invites applications for a postdoctoral research fellow in the Signature Research Programme in Neuroscience and Behavioural Disorders. The successful candidate will lead a project on molecular mechanisms of synaptic function in neuropsychiatric disorders, employing cutting-edge methods including in vivo CRISPR genome editing and advanced imaging.

Qualifications

• PhD or MD/PhD in neuroscience or related field.
• First-author peer-reviewed publications encouraged.
• Experience in synapse imaging, electrophysiology, or computational analysis is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills.
• Team player, open-minded, energetic and motivated.

Responsibilities

• Independently and efficiently carry out research projects for the program.
• Interact and collaborate with researchers and students regularly.
• Write and review research papers; present outcomes; develop independent ideas.
• Prepare and submit proposals and grant applications.
• Provide mentorship to students and junior researchers.
• Perform related duties as required.
