Job summary

Join DevOps seeks a senior Lead Platform Engineer to build and maintain delivery platforms, CI/CD pipelines and release processes across business-critical systems.

The role focuses on improving release reliability, automation, observability and production stability in hybrid environments, reporting into Platform, DevOps & Data. 10+ years in DevOps roles and hands-on Azure cloud experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform/Infrastructure Engineering, SRE, or related roles.
• Experience supporting on-premise and cloud environments, including hybrid architectures.
• Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
• Scripting in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or equivalent.
• Experience deployments, release processes, environment promotion, rollback and prod readiness.
• Strong understanding of hosting, dependencies, platform reliability and production ownership.
• Experience with Windows Server, IIS, .NET, SQL Server, AD, and enterprise authentication.
• Hands-on with Azure cloud services and monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, App Insights).
• IaC tools: Terraform, Ansible, etc.
• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Kustomize; bare-metal clusters and LB.
• Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, GCP; Observability: Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Datadog.
• Software supply chain, artifact repositories and security scanning; DevSecOps practices.
• Experience in ERP/warehousing or B2B systems; drive DevOps maturity and cost optimization.
• Based in Singapore with relevant local work experience.

Our client is a global organization building a new Global Engineering Organization to strengthen internal software delivery, improve production ownership, and build long-term engineering capability. They are now looking to hire a Lead Platform Engineer to build and support delivery platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes across business-critical systems.

Reporting into the Platform, DevOps & Data function, this is a senior role with hands-on responsibility. The role focuses on improving release reliability, automation, observability, and production stability across multiple environments.

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or related technical roles.
• Strong experience supporting and operating both on-premise and cloud-based environments, including hybrid infrastructure architectures.
• Strong hands-on experience building, maintaining, and improving CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar platforms.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or equivalent technologies.
• Experience managing application deployments, release processes, environment promotion strategies, deployment validation, rollback planning, and production readiness activities.
• Strong understanding of application hosting, infrastructure dependencies, platform reliability, operational support, and production system ownership.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft-based enterprise environments, including Windows Server, IIS, .NET applications, SQL Server-backed systems, Active Directory, service accounts, and enterprise authentication technologies.
• Hands-on background with Azure cloud services, Azure DevOps, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or Microsoft-oriented delivery tooling.
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Practical knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, container registries, Kustomize, Helm, or container-based deployment models.
• Practical experience deploying, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters and load-balancing solutions in bare-metal environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP beyond the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Working knowledge of observability tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK / OpenSearch, OpenTelemetry, OpenObserve, Datadog, New Relic, Splunk, Azure Monitor, or similar tools.
• Background working with artifact repositories, package management, dependency scanning, static analysis, and software supply chain controls.
• Understanding of DevSecOps practices, security scanning, vulnerability management, policy-as-code, or pipeline-integrated security controls.
• Prior work supporting ERP, warehouse, internal business platforms, B2B transaction systems, e-commerce, supply chain, logistics, or similar business-critical environments.
• Track record of improving DevOps maturity in an organization where process, ownership, and documentation are still developing.
• Familiarity with cost optimization, license awareness, and practical platform efficiency improvements.
